You can add Non-financial Drivers to Futrli from an Excel template.

You can then use drivers in forecasts and formulas, or add them to a report or dashboard. You can also group these non-financial Drivers, or leave them as individual Drivers.

Step 1 - Download the template

  1. From the Drivers section in Futrli, click the option Excel upload.

  2. From the Upload Drivers from Excel window, click the link to download the template.

Step 2 - Populate the template

After you download the template, you can populate the following cells.

You need to make sure you follow the specific format for the file to upload successfully.

Cell B1 - Import type

The type must be Drivers. Make sure not to change this field.

Cell C1 - Organisation name

The organisation name must be the same as the organisation you’re uploading drivers to.

Cell C3 - Start date

Define the start date. This cell will also set the date in cell E5.

Cell C4 - End date

Define the end date for the driver.

Column A - Driver group name

Add the driver group name if relevant.

Column B - Driver name

Enter the name you want to display when selecting the driver from within Futrli.

Column C - Store on

Specify the day of the month you want to set the Driver against. If left blank, the default will be the first day of the month.

Column D - Decimal display

You can upload drivers with up to six decimal places.

Column E onwards

Add the drivers values from column E onwards.

Step 3 - Download then import the populated Excel template

After you fill in the template, make sure to save a copy.

You can now go back to the Upload Drivers window and select the saved template.

If there’s any error blocking the upload, an error message will display with the detail of the problem, and how to resolve it.

If the upload is successful, click Finish to complete the upload.

Next steps

You can update the Drivers, or upload new ones.
