You can create a report from within the Reporting homepage. Below we run through the steps to create a report and the options you come across.
๐TIP: Use our interactive walkthrough to learn how to create a new report and add widgets and data to it.
Step 1 - Selecting which type of report to create
Click the Reporting tab at the top.
Here you can create a report using the following options:
A workspace template - Created by other Futrli users in your workspace that other users can then use across all organisations in your Futrli workspace
A Futrli template - A pre-built template ready for use immediately. These templates cover a wide range of commonly used report topics
Scratch - Start with a blank canvas. Create your own widgets, or drag and drop pre-built widgets and/or templates onto the report
๐NOTE: When you create a new report from scratch, you have the choice of portrait, landscape, or dashboard. You can save dashboards to your Performance section.
Step 2 - Give the report a new title
Before you start to build the new report, update the title of the report.
Click the title name, which then becomes editable.
Rename the report.
When you're done, click anywhere outside the title box to save it.

Step 3 - Build and customise the report
This is where you take control. In your new report, you can:
Add pre-built Futrli report templates, which you can edit
Add workspace templates, built by you or other users in your Futrli workspace, which you can edit
Add pre-built widgets
Create your own widgets that display the data you want in the way you want
Add text blocks, useful for titles or annotation
Add dynamic placeholders
Add page numbers
๐NOTE: Futrli automatically saves every single change you make to a report. So you don't have to worry about losing any progress as you build or amend your report.
Click Exit to head back to the reporting home page.
๐TIP: For more details on customising a report use our Build a report guide or use our interactive walkthrough.
Step 4 - Publish your reports
Any report that you create starts life as a draft. As a draft, only the user who creates the report has access to it. Once the report is ready for other users to access, the creator can publish it to the Published reports list.
