When you build a widget as a table in a report, you can add a variety of columns to compare the data between periods.
Column formulas available
If you select only one dataset, the following columns will be available:
Period columns
Period % variance - the percentage increase or decrease from one period to the next
Period variance - the number total increase or decrease from one period to the next
FY total - a column displays after the last period of the financial year with the financial year total
% of revenue - a breakdown over which accounts equate what per cent of a total amount
Summary columns
Total - the total for the report
Average - the average for the report
Start/end variance - the variance between the starting number and the last number on the report
Start/end variance % - the percentage variance between the starting number and the last number on the report
MTD - (MTD = month to date) the total for the current month until the current day
QTD - (QTD = quarter to date) the total for the current quarter until the current day
Financial YTD - (YTD = year to date) the total for the current financial year until the current day
FY to report end - (FY = financial year) the financial year total until the end of the report
Financial year summary - the total for the financial year
Comparison columns
This month vs last month / this quarter vs last quarter - the total for this month/quarter compared to the total for the last month/quarter
This month vs last year / this quarter vs last year - the total for this month/quarter compared to the total for the same month/quarter last year
Month to date vs last month/quarter to date vs last quarter - the totals for the last month and the current month to date, plus the difference as an amount and a percentage
Month to date vs last month to date/quarter to date vs last quarter to date - the totals for the last month to date and the current month to date, plus the difference as an amount and a percentage
FY vs LY - the totals for the last financial year and the current financial year, plus the difference as an amount and a percentage
YTD vs LY - the totals for the last financial year and the current financial year to date, plus the difference as an amount and a percentage
YTD vs LYTD - the totals for the last financial year to date and the current financial year to date, plus the difference as an amount and a percentage
If you select more datasets to your widgets, because you are already comparing the different sets, only the following three comparison columns will be available:
Financial Variance
% Variance
Total
