Update an import master sheet after changing your chart of accounts

Create a new Import Master Sheet in Futrli after adding accounts to your chart of accounts.

Written by Futrli Support

If you add new accounts to your chart of accounts after creating an Import Master Sheet, those accounts won't appear in your import templates.

To use the new accounts, create a new Import Master Sheet and reconnect your existing templates.

Why do I need a new Import Master Sheet?

When you create an import master sheet, Futrli copies your current chart of accounts into the spreadsheet.

If you later add accounts to your accounting software, the existing import master sheet doesn't update automatically.

Creating a new import master sheet refreshes the account list so your templates can use the new accounts.

Remove the existing import master sheet

  1. Go to Forecasts, then open the forecast.

  2. Select New prediction, then Import templates.

  3. To reuse existing templates, select Open Master Sheet and leave it open.

  4. Select Delete Import Master Sheet.

Create a new import master sheet

After deleting the existing import master sheet, create a new one.

Copy your existing templates

If you want to keep your existing predictions:

  1. Open the original import master sheet.

  2. Right-click the template.

  3. Select Copy to, then Existing spreadsheet.

  4. Select the new import master sheet.

Repeat these steps for each template to reuse.

Sync the updated templates

  1. Open the Control Sheet in the new import master sheet.

  2. Under Step 3, add the names of the templates you copied.

  3. Return to Futrli and sync the Import Master Sheet.

Your templates can now use the new accounts from your updated chart of accounts.
