How to create a report to show forecasted data.

Updated this week

Any forecast you create in Futrli you can reference when you build a report. You can build a widget in a report to show one forecast or compare multiple forecasts.

📎NOTES:

  • You have to publish a forecast before you can reference it in a report

  • You can only reference a 1 year P&L forecast in the 12 months of the forecast, months before will show as 0

  • A 3 year cash flow forecast will show actual data until wherever you set the crossover on the forecast. The actual/forecast crossover on the report will match the actual/forecast crossover in the forecast

  • A 3 year cash flow with due invoices will always show actual data until yesterday and forecast from today

  • There's no restriction on how many forecasts you can compare to each other

Build a report widget to show forecast data

  1. If you haven't already, publish the forecast.

  2. Click the Reporting tab and create a new report.

  3. When you build the report, you need to build your own widget that references the relevant forecasts. When you select your datasets, select the forecasts you want to appear. You can select more than one.

  4. To complete the widget, set a date range to report on.
