Written by Futrli Support

Use the Australian Payroll template to forecast staff costs, including PAYG, Medicare, Superannuation and commissions.

Before you start

Before you begin, create an import master sheet and copy the Australian Payroll template into it.

⚠ CAUTION: Don't:

  • Delete any rows or columns

  • Add any rows or columns

  • Override existing formulas

  • Paste anything except values

If you change the template structure, create a new template, copy it into your Master Sheet again, and start over.

Open the Australian payroll template

  1. Open the forecast.

  2. Select New prediction, then Import templates.

  3. Select Open Master Sheet then open the Au Payroll template tab.

Complete the AU Payroll Settings section

  1. Expand Au Payroll Settings.

  2. Complete all required fields.

  3. Map the highlighted accounts to the accounts in your chart of accounts.

  4. Review and update any pre-populated settings to match your business.

  5. Check that the Medicare, PAYG and Superannuation thresholds are correct.

📎 NOTE: White cells are optional. Complete the highlighted required fields before continuing.

When all the required information is complete, a green tick appears at the top of the worksheet to show the section is ready to sync.

Complete the Staff Details section

Expand Staff Details, then enter each employee's information. Scroll across and complete all the required columns.

⚠ CAUTION: If you're copying data from another source, use Paste Values only to preserve the template formulas.

If you see a red cross, required information is missing. Expand the affected rows to identify and complete the missing fields.

Review the staff summary

The Staff Summary section updates automatically as you complete the employee details.

When all the required sections show a green tick, you're ready to sync the template back to Futrli.
