When you build your own widget, you have three options for the type of data you can show in a report:
Actual data - This is your actual known data up to today's date
Prior year actuals - The results from the same time last year
Forecast data - The figures created from a published forecast
When reporting on a mix of actual and forecasted data, your options will depend on the type of forecast you select.
1 year P&L only
This will only display forecasted data for the period selected.
3 year cash flow
With this forecast, you can control when the actual data shows until, then when the forecasted data shows from. You can do this within the forecast itself.
3 year cash flow with due invoices
This forecast option will always display actual data until yesterday, then forecasted data from today.
