When building a widget, you can select specific categories, groups, accounts, or predictions to display.

You can make your selection using:

  • Choose data

  • Create formula

Choose data

When selecting data, you can choose:

  • Categories

  • Groups

  • Accounts

Selecting a category automatically includes all groups, accounts, and predictions beneath it.

Selecting a group automatically includes all accounts and predictions beneath it.

Control included data

After selecting data, you can control which child items appear in the widget.

Under each selected data item, use Data includes to choose whether to display:

  • Categories

  • Groups

  • Accounts

  • Predictions

This allows you to display only the information you need.

For example, you can display:

  • Categories only

  • Groups only

  • Accounts only

  • Categories and groups

  • Groups and accounts

  • Categories, groups, accounts, and predictions

Display specific groups or accounts

To display only selected groups or accounts, select those items directly when choosing data.

For example, instead of selecting the entire expenses category, select only the required groups.

This allows you to exclude unrelated groups and accounts from the widget.

Create a formula

You can also use create formula to build custom selections.

Formulas can reference:

  • Categories

  • Groups

  • Accounts

  • Predictions

  • Formulas

Use formulas when you need more control over the data displayed in a widget.
