How to populate data in the Invoice Discounting template.

Updated over 2 months ago

The Invoice Discounting template is useful for accurately predicting costs and cash flows accurately if you're receiving payment via invoice discounting.

Before you add data to this template to import, you must:

Once you've done this, we explain below how to add data to the Invoice Discounting template in your Master Sheet.

⚠CAUTION:

  • Don't delete any rows or columns from the sheet

  • Don't add any additional rows or columns. If you require additional rows, use a separate template

If you accidentally do any of the above, you may corrupt the sheet. If this happens, you will need to open a new template, copy it to your Master Sheet again, and restart the process of adding data.

  1. Click the Forecasting tab, then view the forecast you want to import predictions into.

  2. Once in the forecast, click New prediction in the top right, then click Import templates on the dropdown.

  3. Click Open Master Sheet.

  4. Open the sheet settings and map the appropriate accounts. You must complete each box.

  5. Make sure each section is set up correctly for your company. This may mean overriding settings that are already in place.

  6. Set the month you're adding data from. To do this, scroll down to the table and use the dropdown option in the first month. You'll see the following months automatically update as a result.

  7. If you have a current liability to be repaid, you can update it. If you don't have a current liability, set the amount to zero.

📎NOTE: The month you select can't be before the first month you're adding data for.

For example, if you selected June 2022 as your first month of predictions, you'd need to select June 2022 or beyond for the liability.

  8. Start adding your data. You can add up to 25 rows. If you need additional rows, you need to create a second template.

⚠CAUTION: Only paste values if you're pasting data from another source. This is because the sheet has underlying formulas.

  9. When finished, you'll have a green tick at the top of the page. This means you can continue to sync the import template to Futrli.

If this isn't green, you'll be able to open the rows to see which information is missing.
