How to add non-financial information to your Futrli organisation.

Updated over a month ago

The Drivers tab in Futrli is how you add information that isn't pulled through from your data source (Sage Accounting, Xero, or QuickBooks Online).

To add this non-financial data, you must create a 'driver'.

📌TIP: You can also create a driver by duplicating an existing driver. You can then edit the duplicate.

Step 1 - Create a driver

  1. Click the Drivers tab, then click Create Driver.

  2. Enter a name for this driver.

Step 2 - Driver methods

There are two methods you can choose from to add non-financial information:

Freestyle

In this commonly used method, you can easily add the appropriate number to the month in question. Alternatively, you can use the Quick actions to set numbers in bulk.

You can then set which day of the month to set the data against. For example, the last day of the month.

📌TIP: The Quick actions drop-down allows you to make quick changes to multiple years and/or months.

For example, you could quickly update all months in 2024 to 100, then increase the amount in January and February 2024 by 10%.

Formula

The formula method allows you to combine any drivers with ones you've already added, and then manipulate that data further in a formula.

Step 3 - Add to a group

If you've created groups for your drivers, you can assign this new driver to one of them.

📌TIP: You can directly reference this driver group in a formula or report.

Step 4 - Set decimal display

Set what decimal place you want the figures to show. For example, 0.00.

When you're done, click Save. The new driver appears in the Drivers section and is available to reference in any formula, or when you build a report.
