Publish a workspace template

How to publish a workspace to make it available to view.

Updated over a month ago

Workspace templates are templates based on previous reports you've created. When you create a workspace template it starts life as a draft, so before users can use a workspace template to create a new report, you must publish it first.

You can either do this from the Reporting homepage or when editing the workspace template.

📎NOTE: All users excluding 'Guests' have access to the workspace template feature.

Publish from the Reporting homepage

Click the Reporting tab, click the draft you want to publish, and then click Publish.

Publish from within the workspace template draft

When you edit and view the workspace template, click the toggle from Draft to Published.

Who can access the workspace template?

A published workspace template will be available to a user providing they have access to the organisation the workspace template was created in.

EXAMPLE:

  • User A has access to Organisation 1 and Organisation 2

  • User B has access to Organisation 1 and Organisation 2

  • User C has access to Organisation 2

User A creates a workspace template using a report created against Organisation 1.

User B will be able to access and use the workspace template, as they have access to Organisation 1 (where the report was created).

User C will not be able to access or use the workspace template, as they don't have access to Organisation 1 (where the report was created).

Can I unpublish a workspace template?

If the workspace template is already published, an Unpublish option will show instead of Publish. To hide the template from other Futrli users, click Unpublish. It will not be available to other users but will also not affect any report created from this template.
