Any user of Futrli will be set up with a specific role, with each role allowing different permissions.

If you'd like to amend the permissions of a user, or even delete a user, this guide will run through what you need to do.

How to update/edit permissions of an existing user

Depending on your own Futrli role, you'll be able to amend the permissions of other users.

  • Super administrators can amend any user.

  • Administrators can amend any user, except super administrators.

  • People managers can amend any user, except super administrators.

  • Data managers cannot amend any user.

  • Guests cannot amend any user.

Providing your role allows you to, you'll need to head into the users section of the workspace - this can be found via the dropdown adjacent to the organisation name.


Click on the user that you'd like to change, this will open out their permissions. From here, the user's role can be updated, as well as which organisations they have access to.


How to delete a user

Depending on your own Futrli role, you'll be able to delete other Futrli users.

  • Super administrators, administrators and people managers can delete any user, except the original workspace owner.

  • Data managers and guests cannot delete any user.

Providing your role allows you to, you'll need to head into the users section of the workspace - this can be found via the dropdown adjacent to the organisation name.

Once in the users section, you'll see a bin icon. Give that a click and each user will have a checkbox. Select the user you'd like to delete, then simply click Delete.
