Use the Recurring Revenue template to forecast up to 10 recurring revenue streams based on growth and churn assumptions.
Before you start
Before you begin, create an import Master Sheet and copy the Recurring Revenue template into it.
CAUTION: Don't:
Delete any rows or columns
Add any rows or columns. If you need more than 10 recurring revenue streams, use another Recurring Revenue template
If you change the template structure, create a new template, copy it into your import Master Sheet again, and start over.
Open the Recurring Revenue template
Open the forecast.
Select New prediction, then Import templates.
Select Open Master Sheet, then open the Recurring Revenue tab.
Complete the template
Enter data into the white cells only. Complete the following fields for each recurring revenue stream:
Latest actuals | Select the last month that contains actual data. |
User count | Enter the number of users if your recurring revenue is based on users. |
Monthly revenue | Enter the current monthly revenue value. |
Growth, Expansion, Churn and Contraction | Enter a value and choose whether it represents an amount, a percentage or several users. |
Account | Select the account for the prediction. |
VAT/GST/Sales tax | Select the applicable tax rate. |
Payment days | Enter the average number of days customers take to pay. |
Prediction name | Enter the name that appears in Futrli. |
Monthly period header | Select the first forecast month. The remaining months populate automatically. |
CAUTION: If you're copying data from another source, use Paste Values only to preserve the template formulas.
Add monthly overrides
If you need to override the calculated values for individual months, expand Monthly overrides by selecting the + icon.
Add extra revenue streams
The template supports up to 10 recurring revenue streams. Expand the additional sections by selecting the + icon to configure more predictions.
Check the template
If a red cross appears, the required information is missing. Expand the rows and complete the missing fields.
When complete, a green tick appears at the top of the worksheet to show the template is ready to sync back to Futrli.
